Monday, Germany and Haiti faced at the Stade de la Rabine (Vannes) at the end of the group stage of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018. A match without a real stake since Germany was already qualified for the 1/4 final and Haiti already eliminated. However, both teams delivered a high-quality show, Haiti offered a good performance and seduced the audience, which unfortunately ended on a German victory [3-2].

The protected of Maren Meinert were the first to highlight. From the 2nd minute, Dina Orschmann found a space in the Haitian surface but not the frame. Well served by Sarai Linder, Laura Freigang had no trouble finding the target at close range at the 18' opening the scoring for Germany [1-0]. Except that our Grenadières, before an audience acquired their cause and despite 3 goals conceded, did not have the attention of finishing the World Cup on a humiliation. Nérilia Mondésir aka "NeriGol" in front of cheering fans has reduced the gap thanks to a double in the 63 'and the 73', bringing the score to [3-2] without however finding equality before the end of regulatory time, bowing with dignity.
